Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 review-10/10
Samsungs galaxy tab 7.7 is one from 20 tablets released from the Korean manufacture, but this particular model differs from the rest, as it features a 7.7 inch screen which is a first in the tablet market. The display is a super amoled plus affair which gives the tab an extremely bright screen that is low on power consumption, the device is made from brushed aluminium so it has a very premium fell. All in all my initial view of the product is that it looks to be a promising prospect for the perfect portable tablet.
Design and Hardware
The design of the tab 7.7 is different to the rest of the galaxy tab family as it has a largely metal construction and at 7.6mm thick it is thinner by a smidgen in comparison to the rest of the galaxy tabs. The device weighs in at 335g which is similar to that of other 7inch slates. a 3megapicxel rear facing camera with a LED flash and a 2 megapixel front facing camera make the device satisfactory in the camera department. The 7.7 inch screen is a 1280x800 super amoled plus display that quite literally blows every other tablet display out of the water, colours are saturated and blacks are deep, only the retina display of the new ipad can rival this device. |
Software
The tab 7.7 comes with a touchwiz UX skin on top of android 3.2 honeycomb with ICS (Android 4.0) update to come. Samsung have included their various hubs that range from social to reading. The software is identical to that on the tab 10.1, for more details follow the link to our galaxy tab 10.1 touch wiz review |
Conclusion
Overall I think that the galaxy tab 7.7 is one of the more memorable android tablets, and currently it is the best 7 inch tablet that money can buy. Its speedy performance and superb screen and unbelievable battery life make this a very desirable tablet that I would recommend to anyone looking for a portable tablet. At £500 for the wifi 3g model which is fairly expensive, but I feel that it is worthy of its price as you get solid performance and a slime premium design.
