Software
the galaxy tab 10.1 runs android 3.2 aswell as samsungs touchwiz user interface which brings enhancements to the vanilla android experience. First of all the software feels slick and the animations please the eye. Also there is a button that brings up current running apps which makes multitasking a whole lot easier. Samsung has included a miniapps tray that allows you to open a minature app whilst using another app. This feature works well and improves the multitasking experiance on the tab. Below is a picture of the mini apps in use
Conclusion
The galaxy tab 10.1 is a great ipad alternative, its sleek lightweight design is a pleasure to hold and its screen is class leading. But, there is no expandable memory, and performance, which is usually speedy, , can lag and the tab can sometimes become consistently slow.. Overall this is a great tablet for people looking for an ipad alternative but its lack of expnable memory is a chink in an otherwise spotless armour.. The Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 is available for £399 for 16gb and £499 for 32gb.
